A Wisconsin highway turned into a sea of red this week after a truckload of Skittles ended up scattered across the road.
The truck driver was reported to have driven off without noticing that they had just dumped hundreds of thousands of lollies across the motorway.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office shared the bizarre incident on their Facebook page stating:
It is unclear who may have spilled the skittles on the road. The Dodge County Highway Department was asked to clean them off the road.
While we don’t know who did this, it is certainly clear that it may be difficult to ‘Taste the Rainbow’ in its entirety with one color that likely fell off the truck!

It turns out that the red skittles fell off the back of a truck after a box got drenched by heavy rain. The candy was apparently being sent to be used as cattle feed after not passing inspection during production.
It’s not uncommon for cattle to be fed red skittles, their feed can often contain unusual ingredients like beer.
