A 28-year old accident victim who spent two days lying in a morgue freezer was found alive when his parents came to identify the body.
Msizi Mkhize was injured in a motorcycle accident in Kwa-Mashu, South Africa last week.
Pronounced dead at the scene, Mkhize’s body was taken to the refrigerated storage in a mortuary.
But when his family turned up to identify their son’s body, they discovered he still had a pulse.
His father, Peter Mkhize, told The Times: “I have no words to express how I feel about what happened to my child.
“To spend the entire night and morning in the mortuary refrigerator is wrong.”
